A provocative conversation with Bret Stephens and John Kasich
Bret Stephens, Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times Columnist and NBC political analyst, will kick off Conversation 2018 with comments about current affairs, politics, and the US state of mind.
Joining him on stage will be John Kasich. What’s next for Governor Kasich and what will he share with Stephens?

Prior to this, Mr. Stephens served as Editor-in-Chief of the Jerusalem Post and as a Foreign-Affairs Columnist for the Wall Street Journal, leading him to places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Gaza, where he interviewed dozens of world leaders. Stephens served eight years as the WSJ’s deputy Editorial-Page Editor, responsible for the newspaper’s global opinion section, as well as a member of the editorial board. In 2013, he won the Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary.
He is also the author of America in Retreat: The New Isolationism and the Coming Global Disorder, published in 2014, hailed by former Secretary of State George Shultz as “wise counsel for a constructive, tough-minded, and sensible foreign policy.”
